Method of Application:
1. Stack Fumigation
- Calculate the tablets as per quantity of the storage.
- Put the tablets into the cloth pouches or in try (to easily dispose of the tablets residues).
- Place the tablets above and in between the stacks and mark the places where tablets placed.
- Cover the stacks with tarpaulin sheet.
- Seal the edges (Gas tight) of the tarpaulin sheet by using sand sacks placed at the edges and ends of the commodity stacks that air cannot pass from the stacks.
- Close all windows and doors.
- Onto the main gate of storage house paste a chart with the note on it (fumigation with Aluminium Phosphide is under process).
2. Flat Storage Fumigation
- Calculate the tablets as per grain quantity.
- Keep windows, doors and ventilators open during the operation
- Insert the probe at 3-4ft into the grain and insert the tablets.
- For gas tightness use tarpaulin sheet to cover all the food grain.
- Close windows, doors and ventilators closed.
- Onto the main gate of storage house paste a chart with the note on it (fumigation with Aluminium Phosphide is under process).
3. Grain Silos Fumigation
- Calculate the tablets as per grain quantity.
- Keep windows, doors and ventilators open during the operation.
- Place tablets into the cloth pouches.
- Then place tablet pouches onto the grain conveyer belt flows into the silos sheet.
- Close windows, doors and ventilators.
4. Burrow Fumigation
- Allocate the holes in the field.
- Place paper into the holes and flag the position.
- Day after tomorrow allocate the active holes (holes from where piece of paper removed by the burrow animals (Rodents, Snakes, Rabbits).
- Insert the tablet by using applicator.
- Close the hole with wet mud.
Precautions During Fumigation:
- Use gas mask.
- Use gas detector meter.
- wear gloves.
- First aid box.
- Never fumigate alone.
- Before enter into the fumigation room allows wind to pass minimum for 4 hours.
- Never fumigate near to residential areas.
- Residues of ALUMINIUM PHOSPHIDE should be mix with detergent in water and buried at approved site.
