High Efficiency Irrigation Systems Annual Meetup – August 2021
An annual meetup of the HEIS team was held at the Royal Swiss Hotel Lahore in August. It was a three days event to get together, interact, and celebrate the performance, hard work, and determination of the teams despite the Covid-19 threat, while ensuring compliance of the SOPs. The HEIS team faced a lot of hardships due to Covid restrictions which did not impact their resolve to continue their efforts and showcase their best to contribute to the uplift of the farming community.
The theme for the event was, breaking new barriers with cutting edge technology, innovation and integrating team efforts to inspire the customers and teams for continued excellence.
The event kicked off with a tribute to late Mr. Mehmood Sheikh, who was one of the founding members of the HEIS team and served the HEIS business diligently for more than a decade. He was Manager Agronomy when he passed away. He will be greatly missed.
There were various elements in the event, mainly the review of last year's performance, breakthroughs and ideas for the future to achieve greater heights.
A very important part of the event was the celebration of individuals and team successes and recognition of the top performers.
The teams also focused on the importance of the best practices from conducting the initial survey, designing of the system, installation, after-sales services to technical guidance, which the teams do on regular basis, and also showed their commitment to follow these practices in the future to further improve their quality of work and performance.
The event was graced by our distinguished guest, the representative from Directorate General Water Management Punjab, Asif Iqbal Wattu Deputy Director Projects HEIS and Lazer, Jaffer Group Chairman, Mr. Nasser N. S. Jaffer, Vice Chairman, Mr. Pierre L. Dupont & Mr. Fahim Azam, Director JBL in addition to the HEIS team comprising of Mr. Nadir N. Jaffer, CEO, Mr. Shakeel Ahmed, Head of HEIS, Mr. Abdul Hameed, National Sales Manager, Mr. Muhammad Yaqoob, Head of Marketing and Mr. Muhammad Tabish Manager HR, all from Jaffer Agro Services (Pvt.) Ltd.
The best performers were:
- Mr. Muhammad Wazir – South 1,
- Mr. Muhammad Afzal – C2 from Field Support Staff,
- Mr. Abrar Ahmed – Faisalabad from Design Team,
- Mr. Imran Joiya – South 1 Agronomy team,
- Mr. Mohsin Ali – Back office support Karachi bagged the first position.
The core sales team members who won the top awards in the respective categories were:
- Mr. Bilal – Area Manager South 1,
- Mr. Waqar Ahmed Zonal Manager from North 2
Mr. Nasser N. S. Jaffer presented the guest with a special appreciation award for his determination and commitment to the cause of best water management practices.
The meet-up concluded with a grand and highly entertaining Gala Night and dinner.
Overall the event was also a retreat and a great opportunity for the teams to interact and mingle on a more casual level, relax and have fun in the beautiful city of Lahore.
